It is really hard to believe that all of the planning, the seed purchasing, nurturing, soil preparation, planting, tilling, weeding, watering, pruning, harvesting and selling our naturally grown veggies has come to an end. Time seems to go by so fast, too fast actually.
But we had another tremendous season and we have you to thank.
To all of our CSA customers, our market customers and those who came to celebrate with us during the 127 yardsale and at our year end event the BBQ & Bluegrass Jam, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sure, we are still open through October for the sale of fall goodies such as pumpkins, and gourds, and corn shocks and honey, and apples and apple cider and yes we still offer hay rides to the pumpkin patch and a chance to come and enjoy our little piece of heaven, but with a hard freeze expected this weekend, we have begun tearing down the garden.
It’s sad in a way to say goodbye to all of the plants that were our constant companions through the year. But each year we learn more, and meet more people and that gives us great hope and enthusiasm for the upcoming season.
